Arts and crafts

Are you going crazy as a parent trying to keep your children busy and entertained? Well trust us we know the feeling so we decided to give you two fun and easy ideas for arts and crafts with your little ones!

This one is super easy. Get some dried fusilli pasta, yellow and brown paint and pipe cleaner or a green straw if it is easier. Let your children paint the pasta a brighter yellow and set these aside to dry. They can then draw the inside of the sunflower by painting a large brown circle. Once the pasta is dried, they can start gluing it around the large brown circle to represent the leaves of a sunflower. Once completed the green pipe cleaner or straw can be shaped into the stem and leaves.

Here is a photo for reference:

We are sticking to the topic of sunflowers. So here is another easy arts and crafts idea that children will love doing.

Grab a blank piece of paper and some yellow, brown and green paint. Let them start off with a big brown circle in the middle and then grab a fork that you don’t mind using for this craft. Most paint will easily wash off so it shouldn’t ruin any good cutlery. Then let the kids paint the back of the fork with the yellow paint and carefully use it as a stamp to transfer the design to the paper. The print should resemble leaves on a flower and orange paint can be used to enhance the colours of the sunflower. Finally, let them complete the drawing by painting the stem and some leaves. A bee or some butterflies can also be added to enhance the photo 😊

Happy crafting!
