Bubble crafts!

We want to share this easy and fun idea with you! We know the thought of crafts can be a bit overwhelming as many people tend to think that you will need a lot of equipment and that a lot of mess will be made. Now although in some cases, mess is part of the deal, it’s not always true.  There are many simple ideas that don’t require a lot of things and can be easily done. Trust us, your children will remember these fun activities for life and we suggest keeping a little box full of all the things they make in arts and crafts as these will be great reminders of fun times.

This activity will be fun for children and easy on the parents. Start off, with some nontoxic paint and dish soap. Put 1 part of soap and paint into a container and around 2/3 parts water. Add more water if you think it’s necessary. Use a straw to mix the paint, soap and water together then keep the straw under the liquid and blow gently to make beautiful coloured bubbles. Your child can then grab a piece of paper and gently press it to the coloured bubbles, leaving an imprint on the paper. Different colours of paint can be used and kids can make different shapes.

In the photo below you can see some flowers that have been made using this technique and also by cutting up some green paper into leaves.

Happy crafting!
(Remember that children should be supervised when carrying out crafts)
