About this Centre
Nannakola Childcare Centre first opened in 2008. The Centre is ideally located in St Bartolomew Street, Gharghur, next to Gharghur Primary School on the main road opposite the Parish Church. The Centre is also very close to Naxxar, Mosta, San Gwann and the north of the island. It is also conveniently serviced by local bus transport.
The Centre has 3 spacious rooms for children aged 12 weeks to 3 years, divided as follows:
- Baby room: Zrieragh
- Toddlers 1: Xitel
- Toddlers 2: Masgar
All the rooms are airy, decorated brightly, functional and fully equipped with age-appropriate equipment. They are organised to offer each child the opportunity to investigate and explore their environment, and offer play opportunities that promote the children’s development, confidence and self-esteem.
There is also an outdoor play area which offers the children the opportunities to learn about the environment around them. We also have a beautiful garden which furthermore gives the children to explore the world of nature which is very much part of the Reggio Emilia approach to childcare.
Our staff team, managed by Ms Maria, are all friendly, experienced childcarers with recognised qualifications in Childcare, First Aid including Paediatric First Aid, Food Handling etc. This enables them to provide a best care and service for the children and their families. Above all, each of them is passionate in their job.

Roberta- I have decided to send Guzeppi to childcare till this Friday and then stop. I felt that it would be nice for me to spend the last few weeks of summer with the kids before we all go back to school. Guzeppi will now join kindergarten, even though in my eyes he is still very little. I think I will miss coming over to Nannakola more than Guzeppi will.
